Tired of your dark circles?
Somehow they just aren’t as cute on us as on pandas…so we’ve done some research for you to banish your dark circles for good. Your strategy for banishing your circles first depends on the color of your circles. To get a clear view make sure there’s plenty of sunlight, tilt your head down to expose shadows, and determine if they’re more blue or brown.
Blue Under Eye Circles:
If you’ve determined that your under eye circles are more blue that means oxygenated blood has pooled underneath the skin in your eyes. Under-eye skin can be very thin and sometimes a little too thin where the blood shows through. Lack of sleep can be a main contributor to dark under eye circles, as you know when you wake up in the morning only to notice those raccoon eyes looking back at you. Laying horizontal for 7+hours lets fluid build up and the veins expand to hold more blood. One trick I like is to stack up on pillows to keep my head a bit more up so blood doesn’t pool underneath my eyes.
Brown Under Eye Circles:
If you’ve got brown dark circles it may be a bit harder to hide. These circles are more common in Asian and African American skin tones and are typically from hyperpigmentation, sun exposure, or genetics. Make sure to wear an organic sunscreen to protect your eyes or maybe it’s time to pull out those cute shades.
